Goal
To organize one of the most anticipated “off” events during the Annecy International Animation Film Festival week, designed for seven independent animation studios based in Paris, London, and Copenhagen. The goal was to create a friendly, informal gathering where professionals from the industry could meet, exchange ideas, and strengthen their connections outside the festival’s official program.
Challenge
The main difficulty was coordinating and aligning the expectations of several studios while using a venue that had never been activated during this particularly busy week in Annecy. This required anticipating significant logistical constraints, adapting the space for an event setting, and ensuring a smooth experience despite the festival’s heavy attendance.
Creative Response
We developed “Indie Party,” an event that transformed a local brewery into a welcoming, dynamic meeting space. The evening brought together more than 460 participants and featured several activities to encourage interaction: a DJ set, a VW Combi photobooth, custom-designed beer cans, and a live sketch area hosted by a local artist. Altogether, it created a warm, original atmosphere that fostered meaningful exchanges between industry professionals.
